"And there followed another angel, saying, Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that great city, because she made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication."- Revelation 14:8
The fall of Babylon is not a physical event of immediate destruction, but aspiritual and moral fall. It occurs when religious institutions abandon the "Truth" (the Word of God) and begin to make the nations drunk with the "Wine" of their false doctrines.
It represents the false doctrines that confuse the human understanding. Just as alcohol dulls the physical senses, these doctrines prevent people from discerning the will of God.
The word "Babylon" comes from "Babel", which means "Confusion". It represents a fragmented religious system that mixes the sacred with the profane and the Bible with human tradition.
Babylon is not just an ancient city, but an apostate religious system that opposes God.
The false doctrines (wine) prevent the world from seeing the clear truth of the Bible.
"Come out of her, my people" (Revelation 18:4) is God's merciful invitation to freedom.
Revelation 17 gives us specific characteristics of Babylon. But first, we need to understand what Babylon represents symbolically.
"The woman whom thou sawestis the great citywhich reigneth over the kings of the earth"
The "woman" and the "great city" refer to the same entity.
"Christ loved thechurch, and gave himself for it... that he might present it to himselfchurchglorious"
In the Bible, "woman" symbolizes a church.
"For I have prepared you to present as apure virginto a husband, even to Christ"
Faithful church = pure/virgin woman.

Unfaithful church = impure/prostitute woman.
✨ Conclusion: When Revelation speaks of "Babylon", it is referring to a church that has become spiritually corrupt!
Now that we know Babylon represents a corrupt church, let's analyze its specific characteristics to identify which organization fits this prophetic description.

Analyzing all these specific biblical characteristics, what organization in history perfectly fits this prophetic description?
Revelation 17:5 calls Babylon the"MÃE DAS PROSTITUIÇÕES". If there is a mother, there are daughters. The daughters inherit characteristics from the mother - her spiritual "biological traits".
⚖️ Biblical Criterion: Any church that teaches the same false doctrines as the "mother" is considered a "daughter" fallen in the eyes of God.

The denomination name does not matter - what matters are the doctrines it teaches!
Now you can evaluate: does your current church teach any of these "mother's traits"? If yes, according to the Bible, it is part of the "daughters" that fell in the eyes of God.

The Catholic Church is the "mother of harlots" (Rev 17:5), but Babylon also includes all Protestant churches that, although they came out of her, keep her false doctrines such as Sunday and the trinity.
A church "falls" when it rejects the light of biblical truth to follow fables or human conveniences. The fall mentioned by the second angel is a moral and spiritual fall, a departure from God.
Because the Babylonian system is irremediably drunk and structured upon error. God wants to save the people who are inside, not the institutions that rebelled against His Law.
